HELP Speed problems

I was able to get my MD into a wav file thru spdif, but now it plays back at a high speed. I want to record them to a CD. I couldn't find anything when I searched their help. Any Ideas??
This Cool Edit Pro is all new to me as I just installed it last night.

When you import a wav file into Cool, it doesn't matter what the bitrate is, but I think you have to make sure that the sample rate matches the session you bring the new wav into. What sample rate does your MD use?

Thanks, The rate is

44.1out of a Sony JE700 , optical into a Ultramatch, then coax out into my AW 850-D card. I did get one track close by stetching the time but there has to be a idiot proof way to do it.
