OK, i watched my audio guru do this, and it seemed so easy...

but how do you get AKAI sounds to play with your midi controller? i have a yamaha psr 530, and its connected to my computer and uses cubase sx...i can get the psr sounds to play fine...but those suck for the most part...lol.

so what are thew tricks to playing using AKAI discs...i have CD extract...so anyone know?

You need some type of software synth that plays akai samples.

Akai disks are for samplers, or keyboards that have samplers. Do you have a sampler or sampler software of some sort?

i have halion and gigsampler...would those work? if so...how?

I would say he was probably using one of those to trigger the samples. I'm not familiar with them though.
