Scott Dorsey from r.a.p. reminded me about this factor when he replied with this:
"The NT-1 has a Shanghai capsule instead of a Beijing capsule like the V-77 does. However, what you have to remember is that production on ALL of these mikes has heavy unit-to-unit variation, so you can pick two mikes off the same assembly line that will sound completely different. And as a result, we get into arguments in this group by people comparing different model microphones and coming to completely different conclusions, and then fighting over it. This is a problem when there is such great variation in sound between two mikes of the same model. --scott -- "C'est un Nagra. C'est suisse, et tres, tres precis."" |
