Still trying to narrow down my choices for a mic pre in the ~$300 range.

So far the leading contender is the JoeMeek 3Q, but the Symetrix unit seems to have some good reviews also, and I could get it cheap used.

Anyone here tried it?

P.S. Don't you love how mic pres with transformers tout "true transformer clarity", and those without tout "transformerless clarity"?
