my thoughts on the Diamond Series Schecter are here.....when i was shopping for a guitar last, i was looking for the ultimate value....if i had $400 on me that day in Guitar Center that i picked it up, it would have been mine.....very nice neck, sweet tone, played real smooth......

$279 at MF right now.
I like the cut-out design.
How's this thing sound?

"Honey! Do you have $279 I can borrow?"

awesome guitar for the money

Schecter really makes a nice guitar for the money. You can't go wrong with them.

dissenting opinion

For what it's worth,

I worked in a fairly well stocked guitar shop outside Chicago and, not to burst your bubble, but schecter was not favorably looked upon as a company. They're electrics were absolutely miserable and sat on stands for months untouched.

That being said, the acoustics fared slightly better. They were played but never bought. If you needed price/performance, it's probably pretty good. a schecter is definitely preferable to the Fender intro acoustics or the Epiphone PR200 I learned on.

So, mixed review from me. HAve you recorded anything with it fo' us to hear?

and besides

I've never played YOUR schecter. Hell, I've played shitty Gibsons, Guilds and Martins that were supposed to be nice...
