I am unsure of the exact thing ur looking to do, but I am guessing 2 things:

1 you wanna put your fav....party tracks on one cd......

2 By saying the word "Mix" that leads me to believe you wanna run the tunes continuously without a break between tracks........

I am also guessin your are not a DJ.............so to me the best way I can answer the question is:

Learn what you can about DJ'ing and how they mix or "blend tracks together using their equipment........Some stuff out there is pretty easy to use and the old school DJ's pretty much got the ear for music which would also be something I would tell you to develop................

Now recording it is another whole subject but pretty much straight forward as far as tracking goes.............

You could also load all your fav tracks into a multitrack software program and manually adjust them to fit using fade tools.........

I don't think I really answered your ????? for what u wanted but post a follow up in more detail cuz the word Mixing has way too many definitions in the music world

I'm thinking you're talking about "crossfading" where one tune fades out while the next one is fading in at the same time (like gec said).

2 very good programs (that I know of) do this: PCDJ and Native Instruments Traktor. Both do a killer job and have a boat load of other cool bells & whistles to boot. I believe they both have demos you can download and take for a spin (no pun intended)

Ok. Then you're looking for a multi-track program. You can use one of the shareware programs available if you want to go cheap, or something like Cool Edit (the multi-track version). You could use almost any multi-track program, but you probably don't need all the bells and whistles of the more expensive packages.

Send your stuff to Bruce and let him mix it for you; however, it won't be cheap.

Thumbs up Mixvibes is *the* solution

Hello diana!

The best program I know for this kind of work is Mixvibes. I used that little program before and it's excellent to mix your songs together like a DJ would do. The version I used to know was Mixvibes 2 or 3 (now they have the 4 available).

The program has 4 (or maybe more now) mp3 players integrated that you can use together with some basic and advanced effects (i.e. fade in fade out, pitch, beat calculator, etc etc etc etc...)

You can mix your song *live* during your party or record your mix and then render it as a big .WAV file ready to burn on a CDR. It's simple and intuitive...

anyway, give it a try, you'll see by yourself!
