HR.com's Oblique Techniques

Do you know Brian Eno's "Oblique Strategies"?

http://music.hyperreal.org/artists/b...e/oblique.html

Why don't we do something like that? It could be fun and we could use it.

There are quotes like "Miking the soundhole of a guitar is usually not a good idea", or "Different microphones 'hear' sounds in different ways. Once you understand that completely, everything else gets much easier" (Harvey), or "Use the Fucking search engine!"(Blue Bear) that can be great for this kind of thing.

Who wants to do it? I'll offer myself to compile them and make them work as a javascript or something.

Please write yours in this thread and I'll get them from here. To make things easier, please write them this way:

::your name :: quoted person's name :: quote

Like:
::cordura21 :: Harvey::Tell me what you want, what you really really want.

Don't forget to separate the three items with two :, or "::", and also at the beginning.

Cheers, Andrés
PS: in the example, I am quoting Harvey who is quoting the Spice Girls.

Exclamation WARNING!

Trying to dive into Brian Eno's Techniques may result in loss of coherence, permanent insanity and great headaches.

The guy is simply a genius. If you get to record a CD within that level of quality, you'll probably have opened Pandora's Box with success.

Peace...
