Mods on cheap tube pres

I know some of you guys have DBXs, ARTs, Bellaris, modded with better tubes... how do you guys like it?

I put a 12AX7 in place of the 12AT7 that was in my 386. It's a more aggressive sound. I'd like to try some other tubes too (Telefunken).

Probably the more important mod you can do to a lot of this stuff is to replace the opamp with a burr-brown. You can do it with the ARTs and Bellaris . . . not sure about the dbx's.
