Waves C4

Hi, when using my Waves C4 Multiband Parametric Processor I get feedback when using some of the presets. Such as preset 14 which is the bass compressor/de-esser. I am not sure as to what causes this and what can be done to prevent it. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

What do you mean by feedback? Do you mean lack of smoothness or consistency?

As a general rule presets are starting points; very rarely end points. You need to tweak to adjust the parameters for your particular mix, gain level, style of music, etc

Oh, I did try tweaking it, and it got worse. . .the preset was the best out of all. . . what I mean by feedback is simply a high pitched whine. . . it overtakes the rest of the sound. . .I have no idea what causes this. . .

That sounds really odd. Ive never heard of such a thing. A high pitched whine... from software?? Call waves tech support and ask them or go to their forum at www.audioforums.com.
