Oops. sorry about that. Try the Male Ale, it's looks delightful

Try this link; www.sospubs.co.uk You'll have to use the search feature there....I have not looked for the DPS16 review there but I do know that the magazine archives all their reviews, and the Akai got very favorable reviews in the magazine.

If you have any specific questions, I've owned the DPS16 about for 18 months can answer some questions. Unfortunately, this site doesn't have an AKAI forum.

Good luck

I think it can playback 10 tracks at 24-bit.

The Yamaha AW2816 is a 16-track machine that records/plays in 24-bit. I don't know all the details but it appears to be a very capable machine. I've read positive things about the preamps and effects on the Yamahas from magazines and owners.

Alot of those questions can be answered here.

I dont think there is a machine that can do that at the current time. But I do think that this is the best machine of its kind, expecially for the price. $900.00 at Mars if theres still one in stock somewhere.

Now I cant promise you will find true love, or a nutty flavored beer, but they can answer questions on akai gear.

Yes, But most units like the Akai,Korg are also uncompressed and automated, to the extent that snapshots are used insted of moterized faders ( that make noise by the way). The roland units and Zoom units are compressed.

How many tracks it can play back depends on the kind of hard drive you are using... I just settle for not always 96khz. i really cant tell the difference, but i know everyone says there is one
