I just purchased a used set of Tannoy System 800 monitors for $300. They look and sound brand new. Did I get a good deal, or is that about fair?

Yo Durable RockHard:
Do the Tanoy speakers make your ears happy? If so, then you got a good deal. Tannoy, in the U.S. has been associated with chinzy gear; however, my friend in Portugal, a high-fi person, tells me that Tannoy also makes very good speakers. I thought my Infinity speakers were pretty good; however, my hi-fi friend calls them, "budget speakers." Let your ears decide. Green Hornet |

My old mixes sound pretty scary when I listen to them now through the Tannoys, but when I listen to my Mother Love Bone CD it sounds like I'm sitting in their control room. Life is good RH |
