Nuendo and Converters

I know the subject of converters has been strecthed out here at the hr bbs, but I have yet to find a clear answer. What is the best converter (8 or more channels) for under $2000 to use with nuendo?

Thanks in advance,
Eric

A buddy of mine has a rack of Frontier Tango converters through the RME Hammerfall card. He loves'em. He hates Nuendo now, though... fool..

Cool

does the $2000 go for just converters or do you also need an interface (ie. soundcard)?......

The MOTU stuff has good converters. DigiMax does too, if you have a way to get lightpipe into your system.
