Genelec 1029?

I have about $900 to invest on some powered monitors. What can anybody say about the Genelec 1029? because they are my first choice....

you're just paying for the name. there's better stuff out there. event 20/20s and mackie hr824s for instance.both running around a thousand.

actually mackies are double the price of the events and much more than 1000.

That whole thing should give you a price check on Ebay for Genelec 1029a's. I just bought a pair because I could get them cheaper than the Mackies. I have to listen and decide for my self how they sound.
