Question

How are these things, are they the sleeper mixers, cause they seem awefully cheap compared to other brands..! Are they capable of producing the same quality as other mixers?

I do not have a Behringer mixer, but I have several other products made by them. I found all of their gear to be of good quality.

I don't own any thing made by them but I can tell you what I heard.

From a Dealer who sells it - The faders on the mixers have a tendecy to get loose and fall off. The pre amps are a little bit noisy. Some of the parts are cheaply made.

I do have a Behringer (Eurorack) mixer; it's pretty versatile and very good value for the money. However, the pre amps are noisy and these desks don't keep their value for resale <g>.

Even within the same price band, Behringer kit does seem to vary in quality quite a bit. I thought the Eurorack was okay so I bought a Composer Pro compressor (which is very good) and then a Virtualizer DSPFX (which is total pants, too noisy, harsh sound).

So really Behringer kit is cheap and works okay for home use. Try it before you buy it, some items are noisier/cruddier than others.
