Post Unsigned Songwriters

What's up! I know a lot of you out there have some really great lyrics and nothing to do with them. I have lots of great (well i think so anyways) tracks and I have nothing to do with them! I also have some artists as well... I'd love to get some of your songs put to good use!

Here's what im looking for:

- Really really good hooks, first and foremost.
- Some pop lyrics, good R&B lyrics, urban lyrics if you can properly write them, catchy lyrics, cheesy lyrics. (basically everything)

No upfront money exchange, basically a collaboration with hopes to make money in the future. Let me know if you're interested!

hey yo urban lyrics are ebonics with lots of trendy slang and antisocial misogynistic themes.

anger frustration and violence are important aspects.

braggadocio and sports references help too.

the protagonist should seem to be functionally retarded and as egocentric as an infant or toddler.

theres more to it im sure but these are some basic points to consider.

Hey Emeric.
I think what Jeap is trying to say, is Rap/Hip-Hop.

he is trolling for lyrics and you have risen to the bait!

you have not been landed however as you want him to send you the "music beds" instead of you just sending him lyrics.

i wonder what the music beds would sound like...

I gots a question for ya Henri.
Don't know if you can answer it, but since you live in Casselberry maybe you know, or remember.

I grew up in Titusville and had to go to your neck of the woods to see any decent bands.
I use to go see the Blues Magoos, Tom Petty when he was still in school, Lynard Skynaryd, Split Ends, and others in a club in Casselberry, the only place that hosted these guys in town.

I'm taking back in the late 60s.
Would you happen to know the name of the place? It's drivin' me nuts that I can't remember it.

ok then sexism!!!!

but hey you know...

misogynistic themes? misogyny = hatred of women

its a term ive seen music reviewers use to describe rap lyrics. it doesnt mean theyre gay. its kind of like seeing women as less than human. worthless except for sex and cleaning and cooking etc.

ok!

I came here in 1988...My guess would be a place I heard of called "The Barn"..Just a guess, I think it was down the road in Sanford.
