It's good to hear you didn't wait TOO long to change your mind about the instrumental nature of the song

Now... The singing in the non-heavy part of the song is what I'd like to hear more from you. You have a very good voice when you don't hide it. I REALLY like this song better, now that you've put some vocals in it. I still find the quiet break at 3:00 something quite odd. Adding the vocals were a good choice in my opinion.

-EDIT-

Hey! I voted "The vocals are rediculous". I'm not sure if that means good, but if the worst opinion is the top one, and the best is the bottom, then I hope my logic worked. I really mean your song is better with vocals.

Much mo' betta! It was cool as a instrumental but it has a much broader appeal IMHO.

The vocals seem muddled in the far background on my system.
I liked what I heard though.
Good Job.

I haven't heard it as an instrumental, but I think the vocals are a big plus. I say keep 'em in there. As usual, very creative stuff. I don't normally listen to this kind of thing, but if you had a CD, I think I'd buy it because you have a wealth of fresh ideas and I love that.

Cool

Cranky One - I'm glad you got in there right away! I improvised the vocals a few hours ago so yours was the first ears.. our collaboration tune is harder to sing than something wimpy like this vocal line! thanks... will be in touch soon.

Track Rat - I'm glad to hear that because I know you wouldnt have a problem telling me if it blew!

badgas - Yes you are hearing mud.. I think so too.. I really did think this was a vocal up mix thanks for checkin it out again..

crawdad - thanks for the comments man.. When I make a Cd I'll send you one for free..

Very nice !!

It's not my genre but the vocals make it nicer !

Just a thought : don't really like the solo strings in the quiet part... but maybe that's just me...

btw, your guitars are so awesome, it doens't really matter if your vocals suck or not...eh? Seriously, I could list some current examples...but ya get the point. I vote rediculous (in a rediculous way, feeling rediculous, and just wanting to be rediculous). Isn't that rediculous? not!

these vocals are MUCH improved over the previous stuff.

I'm not voting, but the melody is nice, maybe not strong enough to be a wildcard, but it'll keep your fans happy.

Funk on.

Nah, this wasn't wimpy. Heavy music doesn't always require full on screaming. Not for me, anyway. I can listen to different singing styles in different genres.

I guess the only vote that I would put would be the "ridiculous" one since that seems to be the most positive -- or something like that...

Anyway, dude, this was great! I really liked the harmonies you used on this and, though I didn't get a chance to hear the pure instrumental version, after hearing it with the vocals I think it would be an overall improvement.

I really liked the break at 3:00 ... it added a nice turn of events!

Also, the drumming on this tune really caught my attention ...

Great job!

The vocals add very theatric element to the song. I'm all for them. They aid in painting the picture.
I kinda wanted the solo git up more.

Great overall sound!

I really like the vocals. You have a good voice and you stay on pitch so there is no reason why you shouldnt bring it up in the mix!The harmonies were right on too.Re-mix it with the vocals louder!I like it sam.

Talking

jumpinflash - yeah the strings add a darker element.. I guess it helps with the mood I was going for. thanks for the listen!

mixmkr - I cant belive the vocals are too low. I dont know what to do.. I always make them too low.. On this song I put them at a volume I thought was good, and then raised it just to be on the safe side.. I'm glad you thought the vocals were halfway decent. My mixing skills are deteriorating... I'm sure they would be even worse without this great place and the cool cats like yourself offering tips.. maybe one day I will actually be able to apply what I've learned.. thanks man!

Cyan Jaguar - if there is any improvement it's because of people like you dropping comments... The closest thing I have to a fan though is probably my dad.. and he would hate this song.. thanks for checking out the revision..

Cranky One - your tunes next!

JMarcomb - the Munsters were a favorite of mine! Oh how I loved Lily! thanks for the comments man..

boydrj - appreciate the feedback.. I tried to keep the drums simple but strong.. There is a drum mistake that I'm very suprised no one noticed.. phew! thanks for the comments dude..

theron- your the first person to say the leads were too low... I think I agree with you.. I tried to keep them right there with the vocals.. I may remix this.. thanks... we'll be talking soon.

Kramer - thanks man.. I think I'm going to remix it.. I dont know how to get the vocals at the right levels though.. I turned them louder then I normally would.. Welp, back to the remixing board.. thanks.. I have really come to rely on the comments here.. my mixing abilities are dying...

thanks again guys.. the only people to have heard this tune so far are the people on this list.. your comments are/were greatly appreciated..really!

Hey Sami....

I like the vocs alot... just bring those creepy fuckers up! The harmonys are cool as is the lead voc. I like the pauses in the song alot now. The vocal line gave them meaning and purpose. .....very cool man! Mike

I never heard it without the vocals. But the gruesome harmonies alone make it better I'm sure. I love the change in vocal effects from the verses to the chorus.

A couple of very small vocal syncing issues @ :28 and 1:40. Almost not worth mentioning.

i didnt vote because i wasnt sure if any of those options in the poll didnt mean bad .... i didnt hear the original version but i thought this was really good... in specific i thought the vocals where it got heavy were great.. i dont really have any complaints even though i looked for some so i can add some constructive criticism , but my untrained ears couldnt find any....

anyway not that my opinion is all that valuable and not that i have
too much to say but i just wanted to let you know i really dug it
later

Strange tune - that's a good thing. Can't quite figure out how it makes me feel. Kinda unsettled. I didn't get that edge from the instrumental version. Vocals are a definite enhancement IMHO.
