Sounds like the 17 year old drummer who told me you don't need all those mics for a drum kit. Just lay a mic over one shoulder of the drummer. He was very serious. Oh yeah, he did mention you would have to keep the drummer from singing (or breathing) because the mic would pick it up. Sounds like the voice of experience to me
