Vestax 07 pro - Rane TTM56

Vestax 07 pro - Rane TTM56
can anyone vouch for either of these mixers? Why would i buy one of those, instead of a vestax 05 pro? They're double the price, but what do i get? Do they have better sound quality? I know they have more features like some extra eqing stuff, but do those extras matter? And is the rane a good mixer? what does it have that the 07 pro doesn't? Sorry lots of questions, i just want to know whats good to buy. Hip hop, scratching, kinda stuff, but also for producing, and recording the stuff.

I can vouch for the Rane & the 05...

Quality & features...

They're double the price, but what do i get?

You already know that based on your questions...

Do they have better sound quality?

The Rane sounds fucking marvelous...

I know they have more features like some extra eqing stuff, but do those extras matter?

ALL DAY EVERYDAY...

And is the rane a good mixer?

Yup. Excellent.

what does it have that the 07 pro doesn't?

Have to look in a catalog or on their websites to tell you that, but you can do that yourself...

I've got a Rane and swear by it, crossfader curves are nice, but not mandatory even for turntablists, eqing can be crucial for that shitty pressing or blending techniques, blah, blah, blah. If you can afford it, definately upgrade your options to the Rane or the 07. If I get a chance this weekend, I'll check the 07 hands on and tell you what I think. BTW - my 05 is old, and battered and still works just fine, but I keep it more for nostalgia's sake than to perform with.

And the output options on the Rane can come in handy, too...

you could go to your local DJ store to test both of them out side-by-side.
