Using MIDI with PSR 160 and Digi 001

Hello guys, maybe you guys can help me out with this one.
Iīm using a PSR 160 with my Digi 001 mainly to create the click track, but something is happening that is givinīme a hard time.
A lot of times when I start the session, the keyboard keeps sending the piano sound instead of the sound I want (I have selected the F4 note on the Drumkit patch, no. 100) that is more like a triangle sound, then, I go on the keyboard, press a few keys and it starts working again. Iīm set up like this:
MIDI track receives ALL and send to none (doesnīt matter) patch is number 3 (donīt ask me why...)
On the click set up I have the output set to Digi001 channel 3.
Maybe you guys could at least, help me understand how the MIDI channels work on the PSR 160 and why the names and numbers of the patches doesnīt match with the names on the keyboard.
