Free Mixwell Mix Cd

After receiving numerous requests for this CD, I've decided to offer everyone a FREE copy of it instead. Something to bump this summer when the radio starts playing songs on repeat. To download it, just go to www.zone-seven.com and click on MIXWELL in the menu. That's it!! Have fun...

I haven't heard the CD yet, but it's definately cool to hit muthfuckas off wit free shit every now and then. I'll be downloading it tonight.

In fact, i'm so inspired, i'm gonna do the same damn thing in the near future for those who are interested.

I own a clothing shop/record store, and I GIVE AWAY so much music it's not funny (if anyone ever gets to Mid or Western NC or Eastern Tennessee <knoxville area> look me up). I think more than 10 bones for a CD is too much. I just consider the stuff "advertising," besides, people like to get free shit, it makes us all feel important. Don't get me wrong, I sell more than a fair share of stuff, but in the interest of turning people on to new shit & phat DJs, not to mention hip-to-the-muthafuckin-hop, I gotta circulate the music.

I've been toying with releasing a CD of unsigned cats, like people who post on this board, free of charge, you know, just to press up 1-2000 copies & give/send em out. Maybe the artists could use them as demo CDs to shop for deals or whatever, I really don't care. It seems to me that though we all gotta make dough, getting the word out is fucking priceless. I don't intend to make any loot on this project, just invest a bit in the name of beats & rhymes. My vice is being nice, but I do like a 40 and a chocolate philly every now and then. I'll post more about this as the summer progresses, gotta meet some cats worth getting at, first. If anyone's interested in this idea, shoot me a private message. For those who travel, I've got a pretty decent studio if shit needs to be rerecorded. Oh, and I'll be tasked with mastering the CDs myself (I think I can swing it, at least for this project).

Now I ramble... Anyway, that shit is mad cool (especially if the mixwell CDs are normally provided for a fee - i don't wanna jack artists for loot, I eat offa that shit, too - but we gotta feed the masses to let em know what's on the menu), good lookin' out.

Flo' raw, flo real, flo fuh sho,
