Alesis Air Synth?
Anybody play with one of these yet? For 150 bucks, It might be a cool toy.

no it isn't.. it's a little plastic toy with wank sounds and that 3d sphere doesn't work unless you got miles of open space and no smoke or annoying objects (worked very poorly in the tight space down at the synth shop)... the idea is great, but the sounds are mostly filters and flangers so it's not something worth going mad about..

yea, it started at what, 350-400$ about a year ago? i'd recommend even a kaoss pad over this one..

If the Air Synth interests you at all, you really need to pick up a Theremin. For 50 years it's been doing what the Air Synth claims, but can't.

Nah...I just happened to have some extra space on my musicians friend card, and saw it on sale and thought it might be fun. I might try and build a theriman some day, though. I've got a friend who is a sculpter, mainly large metal pieces. We have thougth about using one as an antenna, so that when he has an art show his sculpture can sing to the people walking by....
