Hi!
What would be the best way to treat a low concrete ceiling?, I noticed on the Snappers studio thread that what looks like general office innerceiling material have been used. Would something like that be the way to go? Mainly its drums that gives me a hard time, especially cymbals that sounds hard and harsh and i think its the ceiling that is the source of all evil in this case. Any ideas would be greatly apreciated /mike Check out the attached pic of the room |

Yup the ceiling looks to be your problem. Perhaps you need to read a bit about acoustics and treatments:

Thanks John!
I'll dig in to the suggested material. But just to make things clear would something like this (see attached file) would be completly useless in my situation?, im not looking for any kind of sound isolation only acoustic treatment. And it seems like this would be much easier to put up than building a new inner ceiling. i think those fibreglass panels can be found with different absorption specs. thanks Mike |

Sorry for not getting back - I get the *Server too busy* sign all the time these days.
Yes you could use the ceiling treatment - make sure you get a high absorptive panel though. cheers John |
