Roland W-30: Patch Split and Save
Is anyone familiar with the general processes of the W-30? The manual sucks ass and is not helping me out here. I'm trying to assign several tones (samples saved on discs) to the seperate sections of the keyboard. I believe this is called a patch split. If and when I figure out how to do this, can I save the patch to a disc and if so, will it also include the tone data? Meaning, will I have to seperately load first the sample block, then the patch from a seperate disc?
My ultimate purpose is to be able to play samples ala patches live and I need to have several samples accessible at once on the keyboard. I will probably need to switch patches/tones (requiring a load) at least once or twice during the show. Thanks!

Ok I seem to have this problem figured out for the most part so far, so cancel this request. Actually, if anyone out there is looking for some quick tips, a decent reference point on these W-30 units is http://www.c-trl.com/w30/
It got me where I needed to go. ![]()
