Hello,

We have an a capella quartet and are looking
to record onto our MD portable. We are shopping for a stereo mic: does anyone have
comments on the CS3000 and AT822/825?

We are trying to avoid the phantom power issue, as we are going from mic directly to MD recorder. This sways us towards the AT, and the price seems a bit better as well...

Many thanks for any input!

Well, that may stay and issue because a plethora of stereo mics are in need of some good phantom power(and some lovin). Do you have a small mixing board of any kind? You can purchase a at-822 stereo mic at a list of 399.00. THis mic is battery powered so no outboard or in your case- outrecorder gear is necessary. How do you like the MD by the way. I mix to a larger version of that sometimes. Hope this helped. mattchew
