SR-16 song and pattern storage ?

O.K. .......I got a SR-16 machine and about 200+ songs I have written in song mode with all the patterns. I have them backed up on cassette tape but would like to store them in my computer.
I have MIDI cables, ect.....but what kind of freeware program can I use to store and it's easy to use ?
Duh ?????Help......
Thanks.......

tuna has a little shameless behaviour in the past
There was a program called Sculptor that I think its suitable for what you want to do. I use it with my qy-20. As far as I know, its freeware or shareware ( dont know exactly because it came with my joystick2midi cable, but its not pirate).
Regards

Ideas and follow up!

You might also want to look at www.cakewalk.com for free demos that would allow you to midi-fy the songs.

There used to be a good program called "internet tape deck" that was very simple and reliable. Do a google search and see if you can find it.

I should think just about any freeware multitrack recording software at www.hitsquad.com would do the trick.

Or you could just use windows to record them as wav. files if you are not concerned about editing them later. you would need to run your SR-16 in as a "line in" however.

Since we're on the subject do you know of any program that allows for midi editing of the SR-16 from pc to unit? I can get tracks from the Alesis onto the pc as midi but I would love to do pc based editing of patterns and songs.
