vs1824 - do i need external mixer ?
Hi all,
I just purchased the vs1824, and was wondering if an external mixer board would help in recording songs ? I see them at less than $500, do you recommend getting it? thanks |

That greatly depends on the mixer. If it's a Behringer you probably won't gain much.

external ixer for vs1824
I have owned an 1824 for about 2 weeks now, and have found the internal mixer more than adequate for my single-musician-at-a-time usage, even when mixing down a large drum kit with lot of mics. You can even choose between 2 and 3 band eq, and lots ..LOTS of other parameters

The 1824 can only record 8 tracks simultaneously, so unless you're recording an orchestra, it really isn't necessary. Sve the $$ for a good mic pre and microphones.
