top heavy guitar

i have an Ibanez GAX70 and when i try to play it, it starts sliding down and it becomes hard to play. is there any way i could keep my guitar in one place instead of sliding down? none of my other guitars do this. i do manage to hold it up with my hand while playing, but it gets frustrating. any tips?

Get a different strap, one that wont slip on your clothes.

A leather strap that is unfinished (?) on the inside should help. Nylon should maybe be avoided.

I play the ultiment top heavy guitar and I can tell you that nothing will help. I've tried all kinds of straps and all they do is grab you shirt and pull it with the guitar.

You may be able to relocate the strap butten. The best place for it is on the top horn over the 12th fret. If you can't do that, you'll just have to get used to it.
