Adding a precission pickup to a JBass, opinions?

hey guys. I was thinking of adding a good Precission pickup to my jazz bass, so I have both possibilities.
I know that the shape is difreent and stuff. But I guess that doing that mod I'll be very close to the Precission sound.

Do you think it's ok, or it's a bad move?

Cheers, ANdrés

If it is a sixties Jazz in mint condition, you'd be out of your mind. But apart from that, modding is cool. If you can afford to mess with your bass like that, I'd say go for it.

I changed a fretted bass to fretless once and although it doesn't look that great, the result is very useable.
