I just procured my second used ADAT and just want to be sure I've got this right. To sync the 2 units together you just connect the 9-pin OUT of unit #1 (master) to the 9-pin IN of unit #2, right?
Also, from a wiring standpoint, are the connectors wired straight across (ie. 1-1, 2-2, ... 9-9)? Thanks, Darryl..... |

Yup - it's that easy. Up to 16 ADATs can be chained together in this manner. You just need to shut them both off and turn them on together after connecting them. You'll see "id1" and "id2" on the first and second in the chain, respectively. The first will be the controller, and your LRC or BRC should be connected to that one.

In addition...
... if you have a BRC, you will also run a sync cable from the BRC to the 1st ADAT, then from the 1st ADAT to the 2nd...
However, the LRC has no sync... Bruce |

Thanks for the confirmation.
Wish I had a BRC, but it was all I could do to convince my wife I needed another 8 tracks. Now I just have to figure out how to sneek in a Hammerfall card, some real monitors, ......... |
