Roland XP-80?

I have an opportunity to pick up one of these for next to nothing. The LCD screen needs replacement is the problem. Anyway, what are your opinions of this board? I have an XP-30 now. Is the 80 much different?

Yes, in that it has a built in sequencer.

So, other than the sequencer, its the same sounds etc?

Yeah it's the same sound engine, except the XP-30 has some expansion boards built in that aren't in the XP-80. Personally I never did like roland sounds, but I digress... The XP-80 is a keyboard workstation whereas the XP-30 is just a keyboard. If you use a software sequencer then you're probably better off with the XP-30.

The amount of sounds the XP-30 comes with makes it a worthy purchase. If you dont need the sequencer, the XP-30 is the better board IMHOP.
