That should do it!
Except...for drums are you sure you don't need 1 more 57, possibly? I am assuming the 25 is for kick and the 8000's are overheads. This would put 1 57 on the snare. It seems either you wouldnt need the extra 57 (if you use the overheads to capture the toms) or you would need 1 or 2 more 57 (based n how many toms you have). just a thought... heylow |

Are you going to record your guitar amp at the same time as the drums? Maybe that's what the "extra" 57 is for. So you're fine as long as you don't want to close mic the toms. Then you'd need two or three more.

Lets start fom the top.....
How do you want to mic drums? How big of a kit is it? EX: kik, snr, Left OH, Right OH, hi tom, floor tom Fully mic'd: 25, 57, 8000, 8000, 57, 57. If you have 3 toms, add one more 57. EX2: kik, snr, R OH, L OH (no close mic'd toms) Mic'd: 25, 57, 8000, 8000 (this is one more than you specified above) Conclusion: It all comes down to your wants and needs but you specified 2 57's which seems out of whack for either scenario......unless I'm missing something. This brings us back to my question above. Hope this helps, heylow |
