VH1 Divas

Anyone know some tidbits about what type of gear/techniques are used to record a show like VH1 Divas?

I'm more a Pantera, Slayer, SRV type of guy...but it's quite amazing to watch/hear the ease, command and control of someone's voice that someone like Celine Dion has.

Is their a vocal equivalent to the "Bradshaw Rack" for singers? Such as tube preamps, compressors, etc for live use?
Or do they do they polish up a performance like that in post before they broadcast? Types of mics they use, etc?

Lip syncing, auto-tuning, butt fucking, all common with such divas. OK maybe I don't know what I'm talking about, I just wanted to think about butt fucking Celine.....oooooooo.......

You know why they sound so "good" on shows like that?
Cause they are in a music hall...and...
They have the very best microphones...
The best P.A...
The best Musicians...
The best lighting...
The best choreography...
The best Mixers...
Did I leave anything out....Oh yeah...I would say 99.99% of them use some type of realtime pitch correction ...
MY point is...
If you stuck these DIVAS in your local crappy bar, and made them use the same equipment that you have to...They wouldn't sound much better than you....
Oh yeah...they also have the best drugs to get them in the mood
