What CD burner for the VS-840EX

I'm very new to recording. I purchased a used VS-840EX and would like get a stand alone CD burner for it. My computer sucks so I'm trying to work around it.

An article I read using this deck as the heart of the little studio, said, in the future, adding some sort of backup should be a priority.

Is there anyone who has had luck using a standalone CD burner to back up the recording work? I've been told that the Roland ones will work but I was wondering if anybody has found that other brands would work also.

Also, any input at all on choices for my ( hobbyist) studio would be appreciated. My manual talks about the SCSI stuff but I was thinking as long as I am buying a burner right now I might as well get something that will back up if possible.

Lightbulb

Look here at VS-Planet http://www.vsplanet.com/ubb/ultimate...?ubb=forum&f=6 , do a search for CD burners in the VS-880 group if the link doesn't work.

Sorry, you're right, I thought his post read VS-880, not VS-840 . Way too many beers.
