saving effects on vm-3100 pro

I assumed my effects settings would be saved with my scenes, but when I re-loaded scenes, they were gone. Is there a way to save the settings for effects 1 & 2?

When you save the scenes there is another page that determines what you are saving. There are little check boxes for effects, routing, volume etc.
