I have a Fender acoustic with a Fishman pickup. When I flew over to Japan from Michigan, I brought the guitar with me. On the way over, the pickup got disconnected and I had to get it fixed here in Japan. Everything works fine now when I plug the guitar into an amplifier, but when I plug it into the Mic Input on my LiveDrive II, it seems to short out after a few seconds once I turn up the mic level. I also have a Takemine twelve string with its own EQ pickup, and that works fine when plugged into the computer, using the same patch cords. I really like the sound of the Fender, and would like to record some tracks with it. Any suggestions? I could guess that the problem lies with either the patch cord or the Fishman pickup. I would take it back to the place I got it fixed, but Im not sure if the fixing s the problem, and I also dont know how to explain it in Japanese.

Have you tried plugging it into the Line In instead of the Mic input on the soundcard? Just a thought, since it seems to work ok with the amp.
