Freezing?

Hey guys... Anybody ever have trouble freezing while adjusting faders and the like? I've got the vst performance window up, and my cpu is at half, and the disk is low, so I don't know what else could be the problem. Unless, the performance bar is wrong. I didn't have this problem when I had fewer tracks going.

Hey man,

I have an AMD Athlon 1ghz, 393mb ddr ram, IBMdeskstar 7200rpm. 5 gig partition for programs and such, and 25 gig for the wavs and such. I have 17 tracks going. I have eq on all of them, and maybe 13 or 14 effects going on. In runs smoothly, no stutters or anything in playback. It just freezes once in a while. Kinda pisses me off, ya know.

Yeah, freezing up pisses me off too!!

My guess is that you've found the end of the trail for
your system. If reducing the number of effects cures
the problem, then I think you have your answer.
Have you optimized your system, defragged and all
that good stuff?
