Ultimate Mastering House: Your wishlist?

Hi guys... just interested in something here...

I personally am a SONAR XL DAW user which makes me a PC guy, but I recognise that Mac's have a long and illustrious reputation in Audio - and with good reason.

I hear lots of talk about products such as Sequioa and Nuendo and Sonic Solutions etc.

I'm particularly interested at the moment in Final Mastering - that is - the immediate stage post mixing but prior to cutting a glass master.

My question is this - if you had total carte blanche with a no limit budget, and if your only constraint was that you had to use Windows 2000 or XP, what would you do to setup the the absolute state of the art "Mastering House".

Thanks in advance for any replies, from "Ive".

If I had a carte blanche budget to set-up a mastering facility, the first thing I'd do is pay-off the idiot who put the Win2000/XP constraint on to remove it....

Mastering house gear is generally still centered on a lot of extremely high-end outboard equipment.... NOT s/w solutions...
