Question Vm3100 Pro with cubase

Anyone using the Vm3100 pro with cubase i need help. This isn't a huge problem but noyng one. The selct input thing on cubase comes up with 1L and 1R. This on the vm3100 translates into 1 (for left) and 2 (for right) I am pretty sure this has to do with a setting on the Vm3100. Does anyone have any clue as to how to fix this. It limits my inputs and is just annoying

That is how all mixers and multitracks work. How are you wanting it to work? I have the VM3100Pro and Logic.

I think I know what you want.

The problem is that you are using stereo recording tracks. If you use mono record tracks than each channel on the VM will correspond to a single track in cubase. If you want stereo record tracks than what you are experiencing is normal.

Cool vm3100pro with cubase

in cubase you need to go to panels then down to inputs then turn the inputs on. also make sure the rpc card mixer has the channels unmuted(by default they are almost always on)
That should fix your problem also check and make sure in cubase that you are in the multi record mode with input split as your choice by going to options-- then down to multirecord activate it and go back and change to input split
