Anybody know the main advantages to digimax over the lt? Things I like about the LT:
costs less power supply included in the rackmount unit THings I like about the digimax: not the LT, meaning no features are gone What features would really be missing? Anyone have either one of these and want to comment, inquiring minds want to know. --MIKE |

Doesnt LT only have digital ins and out?

The LT does have line/XLR input, inserts on each channel master send and return, and 24-bit adat lightpipe out. As far as I can tell, by my quick glances, the LT lacks the limiter, and has an external half rack PSU.

Doing a little more digging....
DIGIMAX Dual Servo Mic Preamps with UltraWide dynamic range and very low noise operating levels Dual Domain limiter on every channel EQ enhance on every channel Pad on every channel 48V Phantom power on every channel Instrument input on channels 1 and 2 Phase reverse on channels 1 and 2 Eight 24 bit ADC converters Light Pipe out S/PDIF outputs AES/EBU outputs External clock sync input Master clock output 1/4" thick, milled aluminum panel Blue anodized knobs LT ADAT™ Lightpipe Output Eight Dual Servo Mic Preamps and line inputs Eight TRS insert Points Linear Internal Power Supply 48V Phantom Power on Each Channel -20 dB Pad on Each Channel Adjustable Sample Rates BNC I/O for Sync ------------- the synicning, eq, comp limiter, AES/EBU and SPDIF, phase reverse, clock input and instrument inputs looks like the difference.... now if I could just hear the two of them. Any further comments or reviews are welcome... --MIKE |
