All I ever won from MF was a pain in the posterior when I ordered their "advertised" Sony MD data discs and they sent me TKD discs and I sent them back after I called and they sent me another bunch of TKD discs.

But, I have ordered cables from them and other small items.

For big items, like my DAW, I buy from Full Compass. They always are at least 100 pezzutos lower than the best price I get. So, that's why I buy from them.

Full Compass is www.fullcompass.com. Their latest catalog is 280 pages of the finest (and B--, too) audio, video and lighting equipment. It has everything, including a nice console for $155,000 if that's what you need.

Most prices aren't printed, but they're very good at answering the phone: if your salesman isn't available, there is someone to talk to you. And the prices are great.

I ordered a little kick pad for my bass drum from those bastards, waited a week then called them. They said it was backordered and had never told me. Not really that big of a deal but it left a bad taste in my mouth.

Everything i order is from musicians friend. They do fine for me 2 or 3 day delievery makes the school days a little long though. it would be nice to have it overnight for the same price wishes wishes.

I think though that there weekly giveaway thing is a scam. Ever notice how the people who win always say like it was right when they needed it or its what they have always wanted etc.

Whenever someone gives me something for free that isn't a kick in the ass it is usually right when I needed it and I've always wanted it until that moment. life's weird that way.

I'm from Puerto Rico and the audio gear out here is much more expensive then Mars music or Guitar Center or Sweetwater.com but for some odd reason musician's friend is more expensive compared to the audio stores here. I've checked their specials and they're still up there, as far as the "lotto games" that is just a get rich scam to me but who knows maybe I'll win something when I but some mic cables, yeah I'll win $5,000 in gear for buying some $12.99 6 ft cables good luck
