Cheap mixer with inserts?

What's the cheapest mixer with insert-channels I can get?

The cheapest you can get is a Behringer.

The cheapes I would use is a Mackie 1202.

Yeah, I've looked into both of those.

But wich Behringer has inserts? I might be stupid, but it seems to me that none of them...

The Mackie 1202 is a *bit* more expensive here in norway.

Soundcraft Spirit F1, 8 mono channels each with insert:

Around £270 in the UK. Here's an old review:

Exclamation

Behringer MX1804X and MX2004A have inserts.
Both are cheaper than $300 and mx1804 has 6 xlr inputs, mx2004a has 8. Both have 2 aux paths and 4 stereo-line inputs.

Yikes....

I'd go with a small Mackie. I have a 1402 that served me well for like 6 years now. I upgraded to a much bigger one and I still use that little sucker once in a while for simple preamp direct outs through the insets for quick no hassle stuff.

I guess there's cheaper out there but the Mackie's are honestly nice shit for the dough....buy used.

Good luck,

heylow

cheap mixer?

i bought a "ross" 16 channel mixer off of ebay.i dont know if these are "cheapo "but if they are there must be something wrong with mine.I mainly use makie but when on the move recording(mobile)i usually bring this one along .its slim, really wide and and no deeper than the lenthof my forearm.all 16xlr inputs are on the top, strange for a narrow mixer ,same with the inserts.i got it for about $200.i have also seen the 8 channel versions too(half the size)mine really sounds amazing, the preamps are crisp and clear and the eq's are very responsive.i don't think mine was altered becuase when i got it it looked practically new.i run into a pair of roland 1680 recorders when i need to record 16 tracks live.all the tracks are seperate and sound great.i have also recorded 16 channels from the ross into 2 stereo tracks on the 1680 .(live mix)sounds great.$200 pretty cheap!
