Question BR-532 Newbie Ignorance

Ok, I admit I can't figure it out. I attempted to record 3 live acoustic songs with one mic on Track 1. It appears now that they are all one song. How do I separate them into 3 songs. Do I need to do it after PC Download? Do I need to Copy and Bounce them to another Track to separate them? Please help. (I'm used to my MD Recorder where I can Edit/Divide live recordings into separate songs!)_

terry2,

THEY ARE ALL ONE SONG!!

After you lay down your first track/song, and it's completed to your satisfaction, you want to use the UTILITY key - then the PERAMETER arrows to scroll to NEW -- SONG. It will ask you "are you sure?", and you hit the ENTER/YES key..

A new project is "opened" indicated by the red-blinking track 1, and you can do your #2..

You can repeat this for each song or track you want to save as a completed project - or as long as your SM card holds out..

If you don't "name" your completed projects (by using basically the same proceedure above) they will simply be saved as SONG 001, SONG 002, etc..

You will need to get comfortable with the the UTILITY functions, as well as scrolling by using the PERAMETER buttons and TIME/VALUE wheel - If you bought the 532 used and don't have a manual, I would get a hold of BOSS and ask for one. It will explain a lot, and if your needs are simple the manual is pretty readable and clear! Let me know if you would like me to get the contact information for you..

Hope this helps!
Jim

Cool

Jim, Thanks for your detailed response. I will give it a try this weekend and let you know if I'm successful. (I did get the manual with the 532, but I did buy it second-hand.)
Terry
