Unhappy Problems with audio drop-outs

Hi all,

Im using Cubase 5.1 and reason as a slave.

Im currently working on a tune that has 9 midi tracks (using about 5 reason samplers and 4 vst instruments) and 2 audio tracks.

Problem is, whenever im trying to record onto a midi track it gets about half way through playing the tune and then drops out and not even the metronome plays, making it impossible to record in time. All this is in an 8 bar loop so you can imagine my fustration.

I have a soundblaster live platinum soundcard and im using windows 2000 on an AMD Athlon Thunderbird 1200 with 458mb ram.

Plz, Plz Help.

Thanx, Rudebwoy321.
