Pro VLA (comp) ... poor mans LA2?

Just got a ART PRO VLA.

Its really a nice compressor....maybe a poor mans LA2

Pros: easy to use controls like the LA2 or DBX 160, vactro/tube leveling that sounds warm, nice meter response, and maybe the best thing I can add is that you never get a squashed sound no matter how hard you hit it. It is extremely musical. I have tried it on BASS & Vocals so far and think its great. Next will be acoustic guitar.

Cons: only one so far, the case and front plate seems a little flimsy, maybe 16 gauge instead of maybe 12 guage that I would have expected. Does not effect the sonic quality though.
