Analog+Digital

Hi!
I am thinking about buying a multitrack reel to reel tape recorder to use with a Protools Mbox and a mixer linking analog and digital technologies on a hybrid home studio setup. I´m planning to record the drums and bass on tape and to edit and mix on digital.
Anyone knows if it´s possible and how to make the connections?
Any suggestions?
