question Windows XP and cubase VST

Can cubase vst/24 function adiquately on windows XP or must i get another version of cubase thats compadable to windows XP........my reasons for asking is that i'm about to purchase a a new machine with windows xp.....currently i'm using a system with windows 98, so i want to know if i can install my cubase vst/24 on widows xp as normal..or do i have to purchase another version (windows xp version)???
