Balanced or Unbalanced to Monitors?
Folks,
I'm currently sending an unbalanced signal from my DIGI001 box to my active Tannoy Reveals. Is it worth the expense to go balanced? Mark

Not unless your cable run is more than 20-25 feet!

Thanks Bruce
We're only talking 4-5 feet.

Ballance when ever possible
I try to maintain a ballanced signal when ever possible. It eliminates any chances of noise and is the prefered process for +4 signals. If you can afford the few dollars difference in price I would use the ballance cables.
I also look at it this way if the pro option is for ballance and its available to you allready, why not take advantage of it? |

I agree with Joe E,
if have the option to go balanced, go balanced. You might not hear the difference on this one connection, but if you have multiple connections in your setup that can choose between balanced and unbalanced, you'll hear the difference. There is big world between -10 and +4 in the analogue domain.
