computer mic
Any tricks, outside of throwing it away, in making the standard computer mic record vocals and or acoustic guitar halfway decent?

I suppose but this is where I am right now. The question I really have and I have posted it before is what would be the minimal cost of having a decent vocal set-up and what equipment would I need? I'm talking under $200.00.

Sure you can use your puter mic as a goof. Actually, I initially made some damn nice sounding tracks with the dang thing. A little EQ'D and proper level setting, and a good ear helps. But in your price range, which was MY price range, I lucked out and got a JOEMEEK VC3Q and a Marshall v67. Total cost 200$ for both. Sounds clean, crisp and AWESOME. Good luck!

You could try sending it to Stephen Paul for a makeover.............

...or... you could give C7sus fifty bucks and he'll personally fly it back to the chinese factory and have it upgraded to "Noyman" grade for twenty five cents.
