Cheap Chinese made shit. If you don't need reliability, it's a steal. If you expect it to work when you need it to, look for another board.

Don't even get me started on their business practices

Might I also add............

....that though Behringer is a crap-@ss-copy-cat Company,
I do give them props for their Composer Pro Compressor. Not as transparent and smooth as the RNC, yet provides more than adequate gating and peak limiting with extremely low noise residuals and at $69,shoot,you can't go wrong!!

also, what is good to add warmth?? I got the Presonus Blue tubes preamp as a gift, but it seems to just add more noise than warmth. Thanks again

I've tried it on guitars etc. It may add a new effect, but there is definitely no "tube distortion".... the pad switch doesnt seem to work, nor the "drive" knob... what do you think???

Good tracking practices and good engineering chops get you the sound you want........ a good signal chain doesn't hurt either....!

I just have to say that I haven't had any trouble with berhinger. I don't see what everyone is talking about when they say ALL there products are cheap ass shit. over half the people here use the ECM8000's alot of people use there mixers and don't have any problem with them.

Theres a few guys arround here that have defective mixers from that company. The other bunch is just some of us that dont aprove of the RnD that behringer seems to do.

the ultramizer pro is good for what it does. I like that you can use it to normalize and noise reduction durring the mastering stage. Well worth 89.00. You can trust my opinion because I use one.

If all you want is the compression I suppose the RNC is worth going for. I personally dont own one but word is that It does the job without any artifacts from the compressor .

Just to clarify...

My comments came from actual-use experience with the unit too...

It isn't very effective, and I found it muddied-up the sound quite a bit with the processing engaged - as well, it was horribly noisy.......... I dismissed it as useless and sold it off quickly.......

Mine actually has a noise reduction feature which seems to work ok.

It also does a good job of getting a clean signal into the burner after normalizing it. If not used right you can find patches that will add noise. Sorry that you had a bad experience. I dont find all of the stuff to be bad Though Im sure Ill hear it happen sometime.
