Thats total and utter B.S.!!!! Cakewalk says Sonar works with XP right on their website. I've been using XP and HS2002 (Sonar's baby brother) with no problems since last November.

Sounds like your local computer tech is full of it...

I'm using:

PII-400 (Intel mobo, 440BX chipset) with 512Mb RAM
SB Live Value
Audiophile 2496
ATI All-in-Wonder 128
3Dfx Voodoo 3
WinXP Pro

I agree. I recently upgraded from win 98 SE to XP, and Sonar's performance has improved.

- Asus P3BF / BX chipset / 512mb / 1Ghz P3
- Nvidia Gforce3 video card
- Midiman Delta 44 setup
- Midiman Midisport interface
- WinXP Pro

...all is good. Recently picked up the Delta and am extremely pleased with this card & drivers. Worked first time no brainer. Quiet and perfectly sync'd level-wise to my mixer & amp. And I'm pulling a mere 8ms latency in Reason, and probably something similar in Sonar but who knows...
